Overview
The classic Rinjani crossing and the trip we recommend to most trekkers. You climb from Sembalun, reach the summit at sunrise, camp beside Segara Anak Lake with time to soak in the natural hot springs, then cross to the Senaru crater rim and walk down through the rainforest to Senaru.
- Sunrise from the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m)
- Night by Segara Anak Lake and a soak in the hot springs
- Full crossing: savanna on the Sembalun side, rainforest on the Senaru side
- Sunset from two different crater rims
